Needlecase Knitting Kits

For those of you familiar with our website, or who have visited us in store in Tadcaster, you’ll know we stock a range of hand knitting kits.

Our knitting kits are designed by our very own Judith Schur who takes the time to sit down, design the pattern, source the wool and write the instructions, before carefully packaging each one up in to our little brown boxes and labeling it ready to be sold.

The wool Judith uses for most of our knitting kits comes from the West Yorkshire Spinners, a company that is local to Needlecase, with their factory being based in the village of Keighley not too far away. As a small independent business ourselves, we are delighted to be able to support another independent business nearby, by using them in our original knitting kits. So if supporting local businesses is important to you too, then our hand knitting kits are a great way to support two in one!

The West Yorkshire Spinners are currently involved in the campaign for wool  and as avid knitters ourselves we are definitely on board so why not check out what they have to say about this great material! GIVE FLEECE A CHANCE.

We currently have two knitting kits available online, the chain stripes cushion kit and the heart cable cushion kit (available in multiple colours) and Judith is currently working on a third design to add to our range, so keep popping back to the website or dropping in to the shop to see what’s new.

All the kits come with the pattern, instructions, yarns and accessories you need to complete the project, which means all you need, is a working pair of knitting needles. We like to think our bespoke cushion kits are ideal if you’re looking to make something original and personal for you or your home, and with a full pattern and instruction set included, you can tackle one of our kits whether you are a beginner or an advanced hand knitter. So why not have a go?

We’d also love to see pictures of any finished versions of our knitting kits, so please send us those in the comments below!
