Sock knitting is so popular at the moment.
People love the fact that they make such a portable project. I have a nice small project bag in which I can fit all the bits and pieces I need to knit a pair of socks that I can simply pop in my bag when travelling.
There are many lovely yarns available and endless patterns to try out so you’re never really going to run out of new projects to get excited about.
In my beginners sock knitting workshop we will learn to knit in the round using double pointed needles. You will make a mini sock during the day which will demonstrate the process of creating a sock so that you can go away afterwards and create your own full size versions.
You will need a set of 2.25 or 2.5mm dpn’s

I can also teach you to knit socks 2-at-a-time.
In my Toe-Up 2-at-a-time sock knitting workshop you can try this technique and wave bye-bye to second sock syndrome (if you have it). You will learn
- judy’s magic cast on
- knitting socks from the toe up
- knitting 2 socks at the same time
- knitting socks on a long circular needle using the ‘magic loop’
Make a mini pair of socks using this method and take away a pattern and yarn to make a full size pair at home.
