We are going, are you?
This year will mark the 32nd Cawood Craft Festival so fingers crossed for glorious weather over the August Bank holiday weekend, that’s the 23rd,24th and 25th!
The festival is big in the knitting and sewing industries and it is now recognised as one of the North’s premium, craft events. Therefore we are delighted to be one of the more than 100 stall holders attending the event this time.
Now this not our first time holding a stall at Cawood Festival and after the success of last year, this time we have booked a much larger stand.
With the extra space this time around Needlecase’s very own Judith Schur will be taking along and selling the very popular cushion kits she designers herself. There will also be some of our luxury and designer yarns for sale including: Bergere de France Angel which is a very fine fluffy yarn that contains some mohair.
Judith has also written a pattern for a scarf which uses only 2 balls of yarn: one ball of West Yorkshire Spinners BFL DK and one ball of Louisa Harding Nerissa (chenille) which I have also got a scarf patterns for.
If that wasn’t enough the Needlecase stand will also have a selection of knitted items for sale such as hats, scarves and baby items.
We will also be advertising our latest knitting and sewing classes at Cawood Festival and if you sign up on the day at the show, you’ll receive a special discount so don’t be shy!
The event venue is the centre of the village on Castle Green, parking is few and entry is just £5 for adults over 16. Why not bob down and see some of the best local crafters, knitters, sewers, bakers, dancers, musicians and more show off their wares?!
For more information on the event check out the Cawood Festival website.
